Both
Sides
of
The
Lock
…
Wow,
what
a
start!
To
God
Be
the
Glory
Forever
and
Ever…Amen!
Sometimes
you
just
don’t
know
what
can
be
done
if
you
don’t
try.
Thank
You
Lord
for
these
opportunities.
Since
beginning
the
Jail
Ministry
in
September
2007
we’ve
seen
men
lead
their
first
public
prayer,
read
scripture
openly
and
take
charge
of
administering
communion
service.
They
sing
openly
and
worship
aloud
with
others.
These
men
help
others
prepare
for
baptisms
and
restorations.
They’ve
offered
to
help
in
any
way
possible
with
the
worship
services
in
the
Hickman
County
Jail.
The
best
part…
we
don’t
have
to
worry
about
whether
they
will
be
there
on
time
or
not!
Like
the
rest
of
us,
they’ve
had
battles
in
their
lives
also.
They
too
have
paid
dearly
for
what
they’ve
done
and
wish
they
could
go
back
and
do
things
differently.
We
all
know
that
can’t
happen.
They
too
are
sons,
husbands,
fathers,
grandfathers
and
just
plain
men
wishing
to
make
a
positive
difference
in
someone
else’s
life.
Please,
please…
take
opportunity
to
pray
for
these
men
and
their
deeds.
These
men
are
not
jail
inmates;
they
are
our
own
Jail
Ministry
Volunteers.
Please
support
their
continued
works
for
God…
On
Both
Sides
of
The
Lock.
As
for
the
Inmates…
they
are
quite
impressive!
They
have
surely
accepted
the
help
of
God
and
those
referenced
above.
Sure,
just
like
in
every
day
life
outside
of
prison,
we
have
inmates
that
are
not
as
seriously
minded
as
others;
some
are
even
along
just
to
have
something
to
occupy
their
time.
Then
on
the
other
hand;
we
have
those
that
were
raised
in
the
Church,
lost
their
way
and
after
rededicating
their
lives,
through
this
ministry;
they
are
leading
in-house
Bible
studies
daily
with
fellow
inmates.
Soft
cover
Bibles
are
being
donated
and
distributed
among
the
inmates.
Each
week,
copies
of
worship
songs
are
left
and
some
practice
singing
together.
Frequently
heard
from
these
men
are
words
something
like
this.
“
I
have
got
to
do
something
different
with
my
life,
what
I’ve
been
doing
is
not
working”.
Yes,
good
and
positive
examples
are
being
built
daily.
One
inmate
questioned
whether
the
communion
contained
wine;
he
stated
that
he
had
chosen
to
no
longer
have
any
form
of
alcohol.
We
were
pleased
to
again
inform
him
of
the
truth!

God

The
Glory…

“Then
the
righteous
will
answer
Him,
saying,
‘Lord,
when
did
we
see
You
hungry
and
feed
You,
or
thirsty
and
give
You
drink?
When
did
we
see
You
a
stranger
and
take
You
in,
or
naked
and
clothe
You?
Or
when
did
we
see
You
sick,
or
in
prison,
and
come
to
You?’
And
the
King
will
answer
and
say
to
them,
‘Assuredly,
I
say
to
you,
inasmuch
as
you
did
it
to
one
of
the
least
of
these
My
brethren,
you
did
it
to
Me.’

25:37-40
